Students can apply for the scholarship provided by the Agenzia Regionale Diritto allo Studio Universitario – DSU is the agency for the University Study Right of the Tuscany Regional Council (Regione Toscana). DSU Regional Scholarship is only for Bachelor’s & Master’s Degree Programs. For PHD you have to find other Italian Government Scholarships. DSU is available in the top prestigious universities of Italy.
Bursun Kapsamı
- free accommodation
- free meals at the University dining halls
- contribution to cover extra expenses (sporting activities, books, etc.)
- exemption from University tuition fees.
Who can apply
Students coming from Non-EU developing countries have to certify that they do not belong to a high income and high-status family. This certificate must be released by one of the following institutions:
Italian diplomatic representatives in the home country;
Diplomatic representative body (Embassy or Consulate) of the country of origin in Italy.
Please remember that the certificate has to be legalised by the Italian Prefettura.

All the documentation must be translated in Italian and legalized by the Italian Diplomatic Authority in the country of origin in accordance with the procedures established by the current international legal conventions.
Please keep the following documents ready for upload (PDF format):
- Valid ID card (only for EU – or equivalent – applicants)/Passport
Italian Residence permit (for non-EU applicants already residing in Italy) - Academic transcript
- Upper secondary school certificate/Academic qualification (if already obtained)
- Curriculum Vitae
- Personal Statement For Scholarship: A main key element for selection criteria in any scholarship to abroad
- Recommendation Letter: The scholarship application is incomplete without a Recommendation letter
- Language proficiency certificates (if required for the chosen degree program);
- Certificate declaring the passing grade of an eventual particular academic competence exam eventually required for entry to University in the country where the high school was completed
- Other specific documents required for the chosen degree program
- Diplomas and Transcripts must be official.
Burs Başvuru Dönemi
The annual call for applications for DSU scholarships is published in the month of June. For a.y. 2022/2023 the deadline for the DSU Scholarship application is 6 September 2022.
For the first year of application, the ranking only considers the annual family income. For subsequent years, the list also takes into account academic merit.
